As a research analyst, you will be responsible for creating insightful reports on the most pressing and relevant topics at the macroeconomic level. 

As a member of the economic research team, you will be expected to work alongside like-minded individuals who share your interest in macro-level trends and economic reporting.

You will play a critical role in conducting economic research and analysis to support the investment decisions of our fund. This position involves a combination of data analysis and macro-level reporting, with a focus on providing actionable insights to guide our investment strategies and create content on recent economic developments that is useful for Sora’s follower base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth economic research, analyze data, and provide insights into economic trends, major business developments, and their potential impact on investments.

  • Keep up-to-date with economic developments, market news, and financial reports to share with the team in regularly scheduled meetings

  • Be self-directed and take ownership of research projects, ensuring quality in the work given and meeting deadlines.

  • Maintain open and transparent communication with team members to ensure the best quality of work is achieved.

Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and research skills.

  • Ability to demonstrate previous knowledge and interest in Finance.

Portfolio Analyst

Job Description: Portfolio Analyst

The portfolio analyst is a vital member of our investment fund’s team. responsible for conducting data analysis and research; as well as supporting portfolio management activities across our 4 industry teams.  This role plays a key part in the fund's investment decision-making process and contributes to the fund's overall success by providing valuable insights, monitoring portfolio performance, and ensuring compliance with investment guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Data analysis: Conduct in-depth data analysis to assess the performance and risk of the fund's portfolio, identifying trends and insights to inform investment decisions.

  • Portfolio monitoring: Monitor and report on portfolio performance, including the tracking of key performance indicators and assisting in performance attribution analysis.

  • Stock pitch preparation: The Portfolio Analyst will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and preparing stock pitches for their sector team to then present to the investment fund's board of directors and external advisors

  • Stay abreast of market trends, economic developments, and industry news, and use this knowledge to inform investment decisions.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, including other analysts and portfolio managers, to share insights, enhance investment strategies, and contribute to a cohesive team effort.

  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training to enhance analytical skills and stay current with industry best practices.

  • Prepare evaluation reports in which the performance of the portfolio is analyzed and compared to the appropriate benchmark index.

Requirements:

As the Stakeholders Relations Coordinator, you will be responsible for promoting the fund and its investment strategy to potential stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including alumni, industry professionals, companies, universities, non-profit associations, and other stakeholders.

  • Assist in coordinating events and networking opportunities to showcase the fund and its members to potential investors.

  • Collaborate with other members of the fund's leadership team to ensure that expansion efforts are aligned with overall goals and objectives.

Requirements:

  • Stakeholder relations knowledge, with a focus on financial services or investment management.

  • Great communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling messaging and present ideas effectively.
